Mike is from Pennsylvania. He received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2019, where he worked on developing metal additively manufactured heat exchangers with Professor Steve Lynch. He is interested in applying principles of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics to research in sustainable energy.
Mike currently does experimental work for Generation 3 Concentrating Solar Power Systems (Gen3CSP). He also works on methane cracking for CO2-free hydrogen production. After graduation, Mike hopes to work as a research engineer in a national laboratory.
