Biography
Cansheng completed his B.S. and masters in chemical engineering at Zhejiang University in China, followed by a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Iowa State University. Cansheng joined the ASE group in 2013 as a postdoc. He led the thermochemical reactor modeling for two-step redox cycles that utilize liquid metal as a heat transfer fluid. He showed that there is a practical limitation on gas delivery that ultimately results in a limitation on reactor efficiency. He now works as a senior engineer at Aspen Technology.
