Carlos Catalano

Biography

Carlos (or Charley) began his M.S. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering in Fall 2022. Originally from Puerto Rico, he completetd a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez.

Following his insterests for thermal engineering and heat transfer, he joined ASE Lab at MIT. He is involved in the methane pyrolysis group, where his main research is developing a Liquid Droplet Heat Exchanger  (LDHX) to recover heat from the CO2-free hydrogen product.

Outside of the lab, he enjoys hikes, traveling and streaming shows!
